Hey friends! I’m so excited to be bringing you another solo episode today! On today’s episode, I want to cover the topic of time management. As a wife, stay at home mom, and entrepreneur running my business from home, I cannot do anything well if I don’t manage my time well. I think that no matter where we’re at in life, whatever the season, managing our time is key.
So, today I’m bringing you a few guidelines to help you manage your time. I’m calling them guidelines because they aren’t hard and fast rules, and they can look different depending on your season of life. So, as you’re listening, think about how you can make these tips fit for your current stage of life.

Six Tips for Time Management
1. Plan ahead
Whether it’s the night before or morning of, take five minutes to plan out your day. Write down the top, must get done today items, and put them at the top of the list. Make sure you know the three or four things you have to get done that day, no matter what!
2. Have a morning routine
There’s a lot of talk about this right now, and I think it’s key! Even if your routine changes in different seasons, it’s still a good thing to have. For me, I have to get up before my kids in order to do my morning routine. I get up 1 ½ to 2 hours before my kids in order to get my routine done before I greet them, but starting my day helps to keep me from feeling behind already once my kids get up.
3. Make time for your kids
This tip is written towards those of you that have kids, but if you don’t then I encourage you to turn this into making time for yourself. For those of you with kids, make intentional time for your kids. It’s easy for five minutes of work to turn into an hour of work, and we need to make it a priority to invest in our kids.
4. Work during rest/nap time
If your kids are still at home with you, take advantage of those times when your kids are napping or resting, and work during this time. Pull out that list from the morning and get as much done as you can.
5. Have your kids help out
This is challenging for this type A mom. I just want to get the task done, but watching my kids help me out, is so rewarding. Figure out the chores that are age appropriate for your kids, and allow them to learn responsibility and to enjoy being your helper.
6. Make lists
Schedules and priorities are so helpful to me as a stay at home mom and work from home mom. Planners and to-do lists are my best friend! I encourage you to start making lists, and post them around the house. I keep lists posted in almost every room of the house, and it helps me to keep my priorities in the front of my mind at all times.
