Finding Your Path with Danielle Adams

On the Live Abundantly Podcast today, Jacquelene Hayes is speaking with Danielle Adams. She is a teacher who is totally in love with Jesus. Y’all… the way she talks about Jesus is so encouraging. I can’t wait to have you guys listen to her story.

She is sharing about her passions and how she uses her platform to impact women and today’s youth through positive mentorship. She is all about creating leaders for tomorrow.

How did the decision to make this your platform come about?

Danielle says “in pageants, each contestant has a talent and a platform. My talent was playing the piano, but my platform was [impacting women and today’s youth through positive mentorship and creating leaders for tomorrow]. I just got this call on my life from the lord…

I didn’t want to just have a platform on stage for an audience. I wanted to live out my platform each and every day.

Danielle has a little secret.

She is Miss Black Oklahoma 2013.

Pageantry has taught Danielle many lessons. Training for pageants is harder than you might think. It takes a lot of strength, self control, discipline and commitment. As she began to train for the pageants both physically and spiritually, she began to pursue and do things that The Lord was encouraging and leading her to do. Most of all, pageantry taught her this:

Don’t give up. If The Lord has placed something on your heart for you to pursue and for you to go after, you go after it with all that you have.

If He can bring me through what I endure individually through pageants, think about what He can do in my life and my career and my marriage…

If you seek The Lord with your whole heart, He will be found. If you feel alone, if you feel depressed, if you feel unworthy of whatever it is, I know that The Lord says to seek Him.

Pray.

Open your Bible.

Read Christian books.

Surround yourself with like-minded Christian individuals.

Find a church home.

Get involved. He’ll find you where you are.

Time. Time is something that always proceeds. It’s always going to be moving. Never stops, never ends. And only what you do for Christ will last.
